The great thunderbird appeared with a flash illuminating the valley below. Illuminating an army previously unseen. The defenders of the fort would have all died had they been caught unaware, and where able to escape thanks to it’s fortuitous appearance that stormy night. Forever after, they gave thanks to it and took it as their symbol. This piece is part of my Heraldry for Darien’s Dark Day’s series. I hand aligned the screens in my final semester in college.

The doomed town was dyed crimson with blood and flame, but one defiant mage unknown was seen opposing doom that day.

 

This was a work I did in college that I was exceedingly proud of. I hand dyed paper and made my screen print design in adobe illustrator. It is part of a series I call Heraldry for Darien's Dark Days and those works were the difference between completing college and dropping out for me. I hand aligned the Silk Screen and was not perfect with it, but that also added a human element to it.
