"For the Trees" is my sixth album (also available for download at jamesdeagle.bandcamp.com), and is  the follow-up to my previous number, "Missing the Forest". (The two albums were intended to be companion pieces from the very outset, and were created almost simultaneously, a fact hinted at by the way their respective titles, when taken together, combine to form a familiar idiom, as well as by the identical dedications.) As with "Missing the Forest", I have gone all-in on experimental electronic music, with strong influences from the earlier decades of the genre.

This work is dedicated to the female pioneers of electronic music, including (but not necessarily limited to):

Delia Derbyshire
Daphne Oram
Eliane Radigue
Suzanne Ciani
Laurie Spiegel

This is a video I put together from some clips I had shot at the Bayshore transit station while waiting for a bus. It is strictly a mood piece created on a day when I was feeling the weight of the world a little heavier than usual.

Art for the sake of contemplation, with footage shot on the bank of the Carp River almost two weeks ago, on what would be my last extended walk before this year's first snowfall.

This is just a simple mood piece for those who, like me, often feel a brief sense of the world closing in on them once the lights are off and the house is quiet, with no external stimuli to distract them from their inner universe. I live with depression and anxiety, and so I consider this phenomenon to be those afflictions wishing me a good night.
