Good Tidings! Great people of the Net! For those of you who are not yet aware, I've been hastily trying to update the game's footprint across the web for the last month or so; this is because of a recent change to the game's name and branding. The game used to be titled "Recursion VR" but has since been renamed to "Knights of Neon".

This decision was a hard one and came with a lot of risks and challenges but I felt it was the best way forward for the most successful shot at branding the game and getting it in front of the most people possible.

All this has been quite a task and now we are finally posting the official update here first. Now that the game as been rebranded, you will see a lot more development changes to the game and patches to show  its progress. I also have plans for new video releases to detail what's new in a devlog episode that should be coming out in a few weeks.

Rest assured, the game's development is still going strong and we're right on time with my estimated timeline. Cheers to that and to a good showing here in 2024!

Howdy y'all!

It's been a minute since I've uploaded here.... I'm sorry for that but I've had so much going on between work and life that I just have not had the opportunity to truly focus on my social media presence while also developing the game.

Today I've got a full fledged uncut gameplay video that showcases part of a new level I've been working on. Keep in mind that this was a stress test and the hiccups you see are primarily caused by Niagara particles caching. This means the hiccups happen once when the particle initially loads, and then you don't have to worry about it. This will not be very common in the final product but the video does have some freezing since it doesn't cache the particles ahead of time like the actual game does.

Anyway, I'm super proud of the gains I've made in performance over the last week and I call this a smashing success! Also, ignore the popping of visibility on the enemies, that was an occlusion culling test that's since been reverted. Love TAD <3

VR games require a ton of audible guidance and offer the most immersive narratives on the gaming market. That is why I want to use Altered AI Studio to bring the game's characters to life. If we reach our goal of $750, that will be enough for me to purchase an annual subscription for the Indie Studio and create mind-blowing voice overs with my own amateur voice acting.
