250th Celebration Of Independence
For many people, it's difficult to grasp just how short 250 years is in comparison to the long history of the world. To put it into perspective, that's only three generations of human beings. Two 100 year old's and one 50 year old. ...That's it! And yet somehow, despite being so young, we are also the oldest republic on Earth. Our Constitution has stood the test of time where no other has lasted. Ben Franklin, when asked what kind of government we now had, famously stated, "A republic, if you can keep it." Those words, echo through time and have more meaning to us now than ever. It is up to us, to preserve this precious gift. Even so, The United States, through God's Grace, guidance and protection, still stands today, and we pray that she will continue as a beacon on a hill, unto the end of the age and the promised return of our Lord.
