This one's coming pretty late in the night, but it's done and uploaded. Shepard is left to recover from his injuries, but he's not recovering on his own. You can read this chapter now in the New Works folder, using the October link and password. Hope you enjoy a softer, more caregiving side to Jack.

Chapter 5 of "Mass Effect: The Promise" has now been uploaded! You can read it now in the New Works folder, using the September link and password. I would normally say "I hope you enjoy it", but it's the Thessia chapter, and, uh, well, "enjoy" might be asking a lot. Let me say instead that I hope it... impacts you. I feel like it's important for a major low point in a story to feel like a low point in the story, which is why this chapter is gonna hit hard. Of course, the other reason why this chapter is such a downer is to provide cosmic balance for the other piece of news I have.

I got the job!

I've been interviewing all month for a job that would absolutely set us up financially for a very comfortable lifestyle, which I think is every man's secret wish for his household. And, after a stressful gauntlet of interviews where I was able to demonstrate my knowledge, and after poisoning all the other candidates with a mild dose of aerosolized strichnine, I'm pleased to announce that an offer has been extended. So I'm really excited about that!

Sorry I missed the regularly scheduled mid-month chapter release. I've been interviewing all month for a new job that would absolutely change the trajectory of my household if I get it. So needless to say I've been throwing a lot of attention into that. Made it to the final round of interviews so far, so I hope I get it.

However, this month is not without some content! I will be uploading a slightly longer chapter of "Mass Effect: The Promise" sometime in the next few days. It's done, I just need to proofread it over the weekend. So instead of getting two average-length chapters this month, you will be getting approximately 1.5 chapters squeezed into one chapter. It's the Thessia chapter, if anybody's wondering.

The latest chapter of my cyberpunk story has now been uploaded! The Misfit Avengers have assembled! Where will the story go from here? You can check it out in the New Works folder, using the September link and password. Hope you enjoy it!
