Singer Sandie White

Long standing Australian Jazz singer Sandie White interview broadcast on Fine Music 102.5FM Sydney Australia. Sandie tells of her many years of travel singing from South Africa to Europe and gives some tips for new freelancers in building their career.  Note that she talks about "sitting in" o jobs as a form of audition which the Jazz musicians are so much better at encouraging. She moved from one country to the next, building a freelance career from scratch each time.
Very interesting conversation! I wish we'd had more time.

Singer Songwriter Katie Noonan

Australian ARIA Award winning Singer Songwriter Katie Noonan interview broadcast  on Fine Music 102.5FM Sydney Australia. Katie talks about the making of her album “The Glad Tomorrow” with the Australian String Quartet using poems of Australian Indigenous poet Oodgeroo Noonuccal.  Katie's interesting to listen to because she's built on good solid singing skills which allows her to work with musicians from many different genres. This introduces her music (=albums) to many different audiences too. So, someone who may have seen her with a Rock band might remember her name and go see her in a Jazz concert. She's brilliant at always finding new ways to grow and perform. Never predictable!
