I'm genuinely surprised it's been 250 days since I've released ‘Another World’ - it really doesn't feel it. In a sense, it only feels like a couple of days ago that I was slaving away at my desk for nights at a time, trying to get the first build of a game I wasn't even sure I was going to release. But also, It feels like forever that I’ve been surrounding myself with the concept, the characters, and the world I’ve been trying to create. The first ever piece of media created of ‘Another World’ was made on the 6th of February 2022. Since then, I have been consistently adding, refining, redesigning and planning to create a concept I’d have never considered possible from the start. It’s nice to look back at the earliest builds of the game (I still have them, and may release them for shits and giggles at some point) and see what’s changed, what’s stayed the same, and how different everything turned out to be. Shit changes - especially when it’s as much of a labour of love as this game has been for me. And that’s why it’s always so heart-warming to see people with a passion for what I’ve created - from leaving simple comments and reviews, donating money to fund future development, even reaching out to answer simple questions - it all re-affirms to me that… people care, I guess. People care about something that I’ve made. I’ve only just found out recently that there’s playthroughs of my game on YouTube (Thankfully without the spicy scenes) - which is something I certainly didn’t expect. Big shout out to those that push my game to all corners of the internet - you're the best! :)) I guess all there is to say is… thank you. To those who reach out. To those who comment. To those who simply download the game and enjoy it. To someone who’s often struggled with creating something that has an intrinsic meaning, it’s nice to see my hard work rewarded - both to me, and to those that enjoy the game.
So once again, thanks. Let’s shoot for a year now! :))
I'd like to thank y'all for sticking with me whilst I've been working on this newest update - it's taken a little while than I'd have expected - but I hope it'll be worth the wait nonetheless :))

It’s been a little while since I’ve shared an update on how things are going for the game for the whole public - and I feel now is probably the best time to keep y'all updated on how progress is going for the future.
In short, work on the game has been slower than usual - it’s a thing I feel I’ve been saying to myself constantly recently, which is a real shame. I’d love to spend lots of time dedicated to bringing the game to the exact place that I feel it deserves to be - but I just haven’t been able to keep up recently. Due to various life events involving my job, family and my emotional wellbeing has meant that I’ve fallen behind with my previous rate of development.
As of right now, I have roughly 3 or so events written for the newest update - with an initial planned release date for supporters to be next Friday (22nd) Obviously, creating half of the update within a week is quite literally impossible, so that date I’d initially planned out on my project roadmap will have to be changed significantly.
From this moment forward, I’m going to try and distance myself from my typical release schedule of aiming for roughly 35 days between releases - as I feel it really isn’t feasible to consistently reach every update. There have been prior mistakes in earlier developments that have slipped through the cracks during development that, arguably, shouldn’t have - and I feel I should strive to have a polished, finished project that I am happy with - rather than one rushed to fit a deadline.
I’ll still be sure to keep you all updated on things as I continue to develop, as the consistency of how often I’ll be working on the game won’t change. I promise to release an update that I am personally happy to have made, and ensure that I am providing to you all the best quality writing and rendering I can manage.
As a side-note, here’s a little bit of what to expect for the newest update (v1.6.0), coming sometime in the near future: A rewrite to the main event ‘Iris’ - and a drastic edit to the role that this main character plays within the story. When releasing 1.1.0, and introducing Iris, I was initially not happy at all with the way I had written the events that introduced her. Forced to shoehorn in a narrative I hadn’t settled on and diverting the plot of the story to meaningless time-loopy, saving-the-world nonsense. In all honesty, it was an event to be included as the cumulation of the first major update, with a ‘grand reveal’ of sorts. In reality, it was handled poorly, and is something that I am revisiting to change.
For v1.6.0, this event will be rewritten from the ground up, with a new story and with a more significant plotline in relation to Iris. No more shitty ‘saving the world’ bullshit 😊
Anyways - I’ll be sure to keep you updated on further info - check back soon!
