Yesterday was Karen and my wedding anniversary. After teaching a few music lessons in the morning we went out to lunch and then to a movie.
We saw I Heard the Bells. Here is the link to the website.
It was a beautiful movie.

This is not a complaint or whine about my situation, I just want you to be aware of the reality of making videos for YouTube.
This is one of the reasons that I appreciate your support. I just uploaded a video referencing a cover version of Hotel California by Lucas Imbiriba. This is the notice that I get when a company claims that I've included music that they have rights to.
This does not affect my channel except that I share any ad revenue with the copyright owners. They say that my video contains a cover of a song that they own the rights to, which is true, but it is not my cover. This video is for educational purposes.
It has taken me a few hours to produce a video like this. How much is your time worth? I charge $50 an hour for lessons at the moment. I'm guessing that I've put in about $400 worth of time into this video so far. Calculating sharing ad revenue it will take about 800,000 to 1 million views to make this much money on this video.
This is why creators ask for support directly from their fan base.
This is also why I share with you my notes, lead sheets, and tabs through my books.
I appreciate all of you and the support that you give.

Good morning,
Last Sunday my internet speed was +1Mbps on the download side and less than 1 Mbps upload. Monday I called my internet provider and told him my situation explaining that I needed higher speeds because of my online presence there. This morning the picture attached to the message shows my upload and download speeds at about 6 AM this morning.
These are the fastest speeds that I have had for over 6 years and I hope that this can continue. I'm looking forward to the livestream today and then the hang out right after.
Yesterday my taxes were filed for this year and I'm feeling a lot of relief. Taxes are the one thing that I'm good at procrastinating. Truth be told I'd rather go to the dentist than work on taxes.
Updating the Quail Studios Music and Lead Sheets book for April has suffered so far this month. My son Levi is moving today to a different house. Lots going on around here.
I'll get an update to the book finished by next week. Thank you for your support and patience my friends!
