Introducing Collections

We’re excited to introduce SubscribeStar post Collections. They will let you group your content around specific topics in an organized and engaging way.

To get started, simply head to the "Collections" tab of your profile page to create a new one.

You can easily add posts to one or multiple collections using a dedicated posts bulk management UI: scroll over your posts and select relevant collections.

If you plan to add a large number of existing posts to several different collections, we recommend creating all your collections first. This way, you can assign posts to the appropriate collections in one streamlined pass.

Managing Collections

Set the Default Order of Posts
The order of posts within a collection doesn't have to be aligned with their publication date, you have a full control over it. You can set the default placement for new posts per collection — either at the beginning or the end of the list — based on what fits best.

If you're organizing something like a book, comic series, or educational content, you might want older posts to appear first — helping users follow along from the beginning. On the other hand, for something like a news feed or changelog, it makes sense to display the most recent updates at the top.

Reorder Collection Posts
After adding existing posts to your collections, you might notice the order isn’t quite what you had in mind. Don’t worry — you can reorder them quickly using built-in actions to sort from oldest to newest or newest to oldest.

Want even more control? After sorting, you can manually drag and drop individual posts to fine-tune the exact order you want.

Combine this with the correct new-post placement settings, and you’ll have your collections running exactly how you envisioned.

Adding New Posts to Collections
When creating a new post, you can select relevant collections right in the post creation form. The post will be placed according to the placement settings for each selected collection.

Paid Collections

You may have noticed that collections can have a price tag. Paid collections are available for purchase by any SubscribeStar user — even non-subscribers. Buyers get full access to the collection and all its future updates, including posts that might otherwise be locked behind specific subscription tiers.
Please avoid removing content from paid collections unless absolutely necessary. If you’re distributing digital products through a paid collection, we recommend bundling them in .zip archives. This makes it easier for purchasers to download and keep a complete copy of the content.

A Few Final Words on Collections

Collections give your audience a fresh, organized way to explore your content. They can renew interest in your work by highlighting topics or themes as cohesive units.

The layout for collections is intentionally different from the regular posts feed — designed to spotlight the collection as a whole, while still allowing users to dive into individual posts in the usual way.

We hope you enjoy this new feature and that it becomes a powerful tool in your creative journey.
