This month was a busy one! I've been slowly building the groundwork for naga, which'll be the most complex race added so far. It's going well, but damn it's a lot of work. For the last monthly poll, I wrote some scenes focused on two easier enemies. Now you'll be able to end fights by feasting/fucking the last two enemies if they're weak enough. This was a lot of fun, and I'll def be writing more of these later to expand of the writing available.
Naga planning/coding is coming along great. I've realized that cramming too much into a single race makes things a bit too clunky, so I'll be splitting naga into three specific snake species. This'll be a bit more work, but I just have too much I wanna do with these slithering stalkers.
The alpha is now out! Currently the game uses sketches by the amazing Seekgroove, but each card is going to have tons of art. The goal is to have a male/female/nonbinary version of every card so that everyone can play with the characters they wanna see.
Here's some more spoilers of what's to come. Shoutout to Progressive, Draw Panther, WildBlur, Andrew Hunter, and Seekgroove! Currently I've gotten back art from 14 artists, but we're just getting started. Every card will have at least a dozen unique pieces of art to collect by the time we reach the beta. If you wanna know more about the game, the Alpha Intro Video is now live!
Naga have officially started development! This update is going to be the biggest one yet, so I'm a bit hesitant to assign any timeline or deadlines to it. Nearly every scene will need to be fully rewritten for these slithering sneaks and I wanna do this update right because naga are my personal favorite race (besides bunnies of course).
Besides any extra updates chosen by the community, we're getting very close to starting endgame content. Once naga, elves, and spiders are in the game, the final HUGE bosses will be on the menu. Dragons, Demons and other huge races have been long requested, and we're getting ever so closer to them. Once those final four are added, I'll be finally considering FFFme to be a 1.0 release, and be "Completed". Naturally, I still love the game and won't be walking away fully, but I'll definitely be spending more time on these other projects I've been building up to.
This game is inching along towards an alpha release. There's three last big tasks that need to get done, and then I'll be fully announcing the game n' opening it up to the Gluttonous/Ravenous supporters.
The big challenge right now is getting a bot that'll be smart enough to handle all the complex interactions and random boardstates that come with a cardgame. For those that find the bot too easy, you'll be able to test your mettle against other players cus this game is going to have online multiplayer!
I'll be starting with just a casual lobby at first, but by the time all the art has been made for the game, there'll be competitive matches, ranks, and everything else you'd expect from a cardgame, minus all the toxic financial exploitation that usually comes with building up a card collection. I'll have more to share here soon, but progress has been slow since I've needed to go back to working overtime to cover the art bill XD
Until next time, I leave you with some lovely art from Aesir.
This month was a really productive one! I'm officially halfway there on finding artists for my next game, and I've been getting some real winners back!
Writing has been on an upswing as well. I think I did really good with the Harpy scenes this month, and I'll be uploading the Tiger ones later tomorrow once I've finished them.
Coding has been a slog, but I've finally gotten my extra server back up and running just in time for the easter event. This year we managed to hide 7,152 eggs! I'm learning quite a bit on networking and other complex subjects so that I'm able to get things coded faster with the next game.
Naga have nearly reached the goal and I'll be diving headfirst into making that the biggest and best update for FFFme yet! To keep up on both games, I've recruited a very awesome member of the community to help with coding the ai of the next game so I can stay more focused on FFFme right now.
Since y'all have been so patient on waiting for the next game, here's some of the art that I've gotten back so far. I'm working with some absolutely wonderful artists from the community like Seekgroove, SaintxTail, Humbug, iregretNOTHING, and nearly a dozen more.
As mentioned earlier, everyone at the Gluttonous and Ravenous tiers will be getting this game included with their FFFme subscription as a free extra.
I'm beyond excited to get this game ready for everyone, and I hope you're ready for a naughty game of deckbuilding and digestion :)
