Example of Character Design, Part 2
David decides to make Mar-Rae Sue a Gnome. She's going to be quirky, and have personality traits which should make everyone love her. She will wear cargo pants on work days, and whatever could pass for a pantsuit on most other days of celebration.
Mar-Ray Sue will have the ability scores notated as such.

He smiles, he has evaded the possibility of having to write a lengthy essay on what is means to be so loved by everyone around her, since she doesn't have a 20 Charisma. She also has an amazing health score. Finally, he notes that her strength is absolutely horrible. David thinks that she will probably find some strong man, or at least someone to pair along with her, as she is so likable.
He notes her initial racial traits, and once again laughs. He doesn't have to write an essay on how she's just able to get free lessons on anything she wants to know how to do, assuming she isn't already knowing some secret information that others are without.
“She's going to be loved by the gods!” David pours himself another shot. His referee will be so proud!
David notes that the Gnome race cost him eight Character Points, and that he has thirty-two left. He looks on to see just how he can min-max his character. He wants her to have every opportunity to get free experience points and levels. Does his referee allow him to pay the pizza guy when they arrive? Will it be in the rules that paying for the pizza helps your characters level up?
