Hello, generous subscribers.
My next big upload is Arby 'n' the Chief: The Reboot, an absurd, self-contained episode like in early seasons, about the toys recreating the web series "for modern audiences" with the help of Hollywood executive Skyler Loveheart, a character from the Arby 'n' the Chief movie I did many years ago.
I've been working on it for a while. It's been fun but I got stuck on it. I didn't know how to end it in a funny way, I think partly because I was a bit exhausted creatively after the season eight finale. I also got sick this month and was in bed for almost a week. I had to sleep it off to be able to concentrate, and get my voice back for recording lines. I'm good now, and I've now finished the script.
It's currently getting broken down, punched up and prop-shopped for. I think it's pretty funny in an insane way, I made myself laugh a lot writing it and hope it does the same for you when it's done. I expect the episode to be between twenty-to-thirty minutes.
I'm sorry I couldn't get it out before March. I don't take your financial support lightly, it's a lot of money and I'll always try to deliver something substantial per month, but I need a bit more time with this one. For what it's worth, I'm very happy with the script.
I've also at least been uploading commentaries weekly for my Gosu-and-up patrons and aim to maintain weekly bonus content uploads. They'll usually be commentaries but I'm open to suggestions for other types of bonus material.
Although I believe I'm done with serious story seasons, I have ideas for many more self-contained Arby 'n' the Chief episodes that are just gag-focused. A number of them are largely developed already, some near finalized, but I wanted to get this Reboot episode out first because it uses the end of season eight as a direct jumping-off point, and the finale's the last time we saw the toys.
Hard Justice, Mediabyss, Professional Reviews, music production and a currently unnamed live action sketch show are all temporarily on pause, but I've also been working on new material for each of those projects for some time. Not sure what will come after The Reboot yet, whatever I feel creatively inclined towards.
I'm incredibly grateful as always for all your patience and the tremendous support via crowdfunding, memberships, and merchandise and music purchases despite my post-finale sluggishness. Thank you so much, and for sticking with me despite season eight being done. I hope you're looking forward to more content from me. I will continue to make the coolest or funniest stuff I can.
