Oscillation Ad Infinitium: The Metamodern Path

A metapolitical frame assesses and orders all political mechanisms and frameworks by their success, use and raw function, oscillating between what works best for the situation of interest as well as on a global stage. It is both empirical and spiritual, pre-, post- and modern simultaneously and separately.

People need faith even after the death of God to nihilism and technology and so God is reborn, both dead and living as is the nature of true omnipotence. Tradition is not averse to technology or even the inverse, but easily synthesized into a symbiotic harmony with the other. Our post-modern revelations are contrasted by the modern growth and pre-modern instinct, each giving the other relevance, importance and a basis for further development: different movements of the same piece of orchestration; chapters in the same book that are not separate but build upon each other in the same cycle, our grand story as a species; each pinnacle a spike on the same forward moving trendline; different snags on the skyline of history.

It is entirely possible to take the lessons we've learned from post-modernity and apply them to the advances of modernity while keeping true to the pre-modern instincts and methods that have kept us going for thousands of years. Instead of being dominated by weaponized technology we might use it to further support nature and the world we live on as we, even in our ever advancing synthetic creations are still a part of nature itself, both subject to and the masters of the march of time, genetics and pendulum swinging from order to chaos and back. The nihilism and rampant individuality of post-modernity has broken down and burst into flames, leaving many without a purpose and reason to push on, to achieve, instead opting to identify as anti-this or -that. The enlightenment and its liberal values is the sinking vessel this destructive, faceless mass pilots, all the while punching holes in the hull; anything to accellerate the spiral to the bottom of the middle of the ocean for researchers to haul up to the surface in a thousand years and ponder with a scoff. The tribalism and animism of premodernity grow stronger by the day, the facade of this farcicle society barely clinging to the structures left half standing in the ruins and rubble of all we've built and willingly demolished. In that rubble hides the bright hope for the future we so long for, not in the distant past or volatile present.

Take back your nation-culture, its waiting for you to act. There is no one who can or will save you, only you can do that. Make yourself strong and worthy that you might make a sufficiently strong family which in turn strengthens your community, the foundations of a powerful and prosperous society and nation. Honor your ancestors and the blood they've shed simply to bring you into existence by carrying their torch forwards, with all of the advances that make life today so comfortable. Do great works, prove them right in their struggle to continue the lineage, and give worth and value to the battles they fought, justification for your very existence.

Be a warrior-scholar and defend what you love. Be the man your father and great grandfather would be proud to pass their sword and pen to. Use machines to make life better and avoid the sins that might consume you. Take the hard path knowing you will struggle, there will be pain and suffering, but on the other side of the pass you will be a greater, more capable man, with power over himself and his own future.

Use all we've learned in deconstructing modernity, discarding what is useless and integrating the beneficial, regardless of superstition and stigma. When the dust settles will you be proud of the kingdom you've built or will you offer your castle to the torches of the mob in shame, unable to proclaim victory and success? Don't you want to win the war that is life with all of its struggles?

In the ashes of the empires, charred and broken, lay everything you need to come out on top and leave a better future for those who come after. Heartbreak and joy await in abundance. It is up to you to carve the path forward and make something great of what you've got. Whether your role is as an author, a sculptor, an artist of the canvas or the choir, a tradesman, a politician, a warrior, a philosopher, scientist or mathematician, a man of the cloth or a healer, you have a part to play in shaping this Earth. Learn from our collective mistakes. It is your duty, your responsibility, and your gift to mankind. It is your legacy.

Reject ideology; embrace metamodernity.
