So this is starting to get interesting and odd. And Sus.
I am doing an experiment with the youtube algorithm. I make a video in tall and wide formats, the tall for the #shorts shelf. I have done this 4 times so far.
Results are: 1k vs 7 views (posted at same time.)
202 vs 6 views (posted at same time.)
1k vs 7 views (posted wide 2 hours earlier)
1.1k vs 7 views (posted the wide 12 hours earlier, during weekend primetime vs early monday morning.)
The non-shorts basically got no views at all. Also, even though the short version of the 4th video was published at a bad hour, it's odd how little views it got. It is for a vastly more popular game than the other 3, being dark souls 2 compared to Crossout. Also it is really, really weird that the wide videos are capping at 7 views. #algorithm #youtube #gaming
