For years all we heard was to shrink your carbon footprint. We were told that we had to use green energy to save the planet, and if we couldn't we could pay a carbon tax as if the earth had some sort of barter system.  Meanwhile, the same people that repeated this narrative over and over were devising a new plan that would consume land, water and electricity at an industrial scale as the people paid the price.  Hmmm.  The math isn't mathing. 

We all know data centers do not run on goodwill. They require absurd amounts of power, massive cooling systems and LOTS of land.   Now green isn't the focus as NOW the new priority is the continuous extraction of personal information and the infrastructure needed to process it.  And the surveillance state machine continues to march forward....
