The first new privacy invasion method introduced since the launch of Coldfox is on the horizon: HTML pings.

Basically this is link tracking built into sites that doesn't require external software or javascript. It is disabled by default in Coldfox and will remain so as long as that option exists (Firefox intends to change the default setting but I'll change it back so you don't have to worry about it).

If the setting is removed I will default block pings via a preinstalled extension such as UBlockOrigin or NoScript.

Whatever method has to be used, Coldfox will block default ping sending.
