I’m pleased to announce I will be speaking as part of a panel about AI in filmmaking at the Midsummer Scream Halloween and Horror Convention in Long Beach, on July 26th.

How Scary is AI“AI is a hot-button issue in the Horror industry and a legitimate source of both inspiration and anxiety. Still, this is an era of more questions than answers. How is AI already being used to create scares? How will this affect jobs in the entertainment industry? Is AI ethical? Is it dangerous? This panel will explore AI in horror from different perspectives by speaking to creators on both sides of the issue.”

I’m very excited to be taking part in this panel. As you know, I have great enthusiasm for any and all tools that can help independent creators realize their vision and will advocate for their use wherever it will bring prosperity to those who might otherwise be creatively disenfranchised.
However, you might be coming to the San Diego Comic-Con International that week and be unable to attend. While I won’t be a convention attendee, I will be at the Big Man Comics San Diego COmic-Con Fan Meet Up at Basic Bar and Grill, on Wednesday the 24th. My understanding is that the RSVP has already been booked up but there will be overflow for the event, so if you happen to be around on that night, keep an eye out for me among the very special guests in attendance, such as Nerdrotic and Film Threat.

I will have a limited amount of mini-posters and DVDs for The Quantum Terror with me during both events.

I hope to see you there.
-Christopher
