Greetings, dungeoneers! It's Pug here, back with another exciting Fur Quests update.

Ever since the earliest days of Fur Quests, I've aimed to incorporate my 3D models into the RPG to infuse more personality than what the default sprites could offer. Sculpting 3D characters, however, is quite a different beast from painting and animating them. But, with our backers' generous support and your heartfelt encouragement, I'm proud to say I have slowly but surely expanded my knowledge to the point where I can start doing just that.

In fact, my plan for today's update was to replace the base slime sprite we had been using with a 3D animated one, styled in 2D, to complement Fae's illustrations. As you can see in the example above, I didn't quite succeed with the latter. There were many mistakes along the way and a lot to learn, which is why there will be no update for the RPG's build this week. I put all of my effort into getting this slime ready for the game, and I just don't think it's there quite yet.

Aside from clashing a bit with the pixel art—which is inevitable—the colors don't quite feel right, the animation could use some touching up, and I had to remove his original slime arm due to a few technical hiccups. But we live and learn, and I'll certainly keep working on this and many more exciting characters and creatures alike for things to come.
