Conductor Sam Allchurch

Director of Music Sam Allchurch from Christ Church St Laurence interview broadcast on Fine Music 102.5FM Sydney Australia. I'd interviewed Sam before so we decided to focus this interview on the amazing refurbishment of the 1840’s church where the choir would be performing. When you are promoting a concert, include as many features as you can. A show is an experience. It's not just the music or the costumes but where the venue is situated, the individual performers or the way they work together, the foyer, the food/coffee/wine, the merchandise, the acoustics, the seating, the nearby restaurants. Think broadly about all that the audience will experience before, during and after the performance when you're selling it. Make clear, appealing pictures they can see in their head.
