Cellist Zoe Knighton

Australian cellist Zoe Knighton talks about the World Premiere work "Hidden Thoughts 2: Return to Sender" by Katy Abbott. The libretto was created from some of the 2,000 Australian letters sent to the asylum seekers held in Detention camps on the island of Nauru which were returned unopened.
The quartet has built a huge following over the past 20 years. She mentions the value of artists in society which is something you need to remember as well. It's time for the world to change their view on Artists always being starving or doing gigs for free.  Find your own value in what you contribute to the world - have a good think about that - then the vibe you put out when you go talk to fellow artists or clients will change their view of you.

Then lockdown happened...

That's pretty much all the radio interviews from my collection where I found advice hidden within. Now we'll move on to the DrummRoll.tv interviews. There will be two for each interviewee. First, the promo for their digital concert in a very similar format to the radio interviews. Second, the Backstage interviews just for Subscribers. Here I get the Performers to be much more specific about career advice and the business side of show business. (The first 7 interviews are just promo.)
If you like these videos, get your friends to subscribe as well. The more subscribers we have the more funding is available to support DrummRoll and the interviews. Once we have 500 subscribers I can do a monthly Q and A for you where I can wear my Business Coach / Agent hat to answer your questions or I can bring in a Guest to talk about specific topics.

Help us spread the word!
