Hello, my name is Matthew. I started the Rave Preservation Project (RPP) a number of years ago. I carried around a box of memorabilia from the underground rave scene for decades. Once the internet became prevalent is today’s culture, the time came for me to build a site, digitize and share with friends and family. This was done mostly to recall great times we had “back in the day”. Friends donated their memorabilia to be added to the archive. I curated, digitized, and archived the donations adding the scans to the website. The word got out! People from around the world began sending in their memorabilia and RPP took off. I’ve funded RPP on my own since the beginning. Money does not exchange hands for donations. I want to keep RPP as pure as the scene was when it started giving more to the world than taking. People have donated money to RPP which I apply to the running costs. RPP is at a point where a substantial time commitment is required.

I’d like to commit more time devoted directly to RPP each month however, I have the usual expenses everyone else has and have to work. Fortunately, I work for myself and from home.

SOLUTION: Set up a SubscribeStar account, see if people will support the project. People donate = I commit time each month to RPP. The more people donate = more time I commit to the project. WHAT WILL MY TIME TO USED FOR? Securing new memorabilia donations. Curate, archive, digitize, add to website all donations backlog which right now is about 10,000+/- pieces from around the world. Update website code to display better on mobile devices. Update “Flyer of the Month” monthly. If enough people donate, I will change the “Flyer of the Month” to “Flyer of the Week”.
