Every day more questions pop into my head. How much of our history has been replaced. Why aren’t people at least maintaining an oral history?

My father was in the Vietnam War. His job was river security and he had to check under boats for explosives. Since my dad didn’t have me until later in life, I was never aware of what he went through as a soldier. A few years ago when I was talking to his cousin, we got into a conversation about the war and how Dad never even talked about it. She told me her husband, who was in the same regimen as Dad didn’t talk about Vietnam either.

Is it my family? Or are other Americans experiencing the same thing.
