Wild Fire weed in the rocky mountains.     
This plant grows in abundance, mainly on sunny hill sides.   The flowers are edible and quite sweet.  One of the uses is for pain and inflammation in brews & tonics or processed into modern medicine.   The cooked leaves make a great side dish for fish & poultry
It is told the last of the flowers of the fire weed plant will open after the last snow of the season predicting the first days of summer.
