THIS WEEK’S MASS SCHEDULE

Here’s the Mass schedule for this coming week. This week features the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, of St. Lucy, and the Ember Days.

The Ember Days, or “Quarter Tense,” are very ancient in origin and mark the four seasons of the Ecclesiastical Year. They are days of penance but associated with giving thanks for the fruits of the earth, with the harvest, and Ember Saturday is the traditional day for the ordination of deacons and priests.

Monday 12/12 – Our Lady of Guadalupe
[Taken] Tuesday 12/13 – St. Lucy
Wednesday 12/14 – Ember Wednesday
Thursday 12/15 – Feria
Friday 12/16 – Ember Friday (Commemoration of St. Eusebius)
Saturday 12/17 – Ember Saturday
