Weekly Update: #28

Happy Friday all!
Well, I didn't quite make my September writing goal of 8-10k words on the book resurrection, but I did manage to add another 5,766 words bringing the total word count up to almost 46k. Most of that having been written just this week. I plan to do some more work on it this weekend also before switching to focus on my artwork next week.
Since putting my jewellery on hiatus, I've been trying to follow a weekly schedule of one week concentrating on my artwork (with one day set aside for writing) and then the next week focusing on writing (also with one day set aside for artwork). So far, it's been working really well! Before, I had one day a week set aside for jewellery, writing, and art with the rest of the week a free for all depending on project priority, and it worked alright. However, I'm finding this new schedule more productive as it gives me a longer span to work with, especially since everything that I do is very time intensive and it's easy to spend an entire day just staring blankly at whatever I'm trying to work on just to wrap my head around what I need to do next. This way, I don't have the issue of just figuring out what I want to do on a project only to run out of time and have to switch gears to focusing on something else the next day.
If you haven't seen it yet, my newest digital painting just went public yesterday! It's also now been made available on Art Station and Red Bubble as prints/merch. Since last week's update, I did some more work on the new painting and I'm really liking it so far. I redid an area that I wasn't quite happy with and it's looking much better. I'll be posting a sneak peak for subscribers likely some time next week.
Over the last couple of weeks, we've had an explosion of mushrooms in our yard that we've never had grow here before. We think that they may have been brought in by the deer that have been doing battle with this year over our garden. Anyways, I took a bunch of photos of them this week and I'll be putting them together as a reference pack! It likely won't release until November though as I have another reference/texture pack I've been working on that I plan to release sometime this month.
Well, today marks the first day of a new month (or at least it does in my time zone), so tomorrow I'll be posting a new list of what I plan to be work on and share for the month of October. As usual, I likely won't complete everything on the list, but I hope to at least make a good dent in it.
That's about it for this week! Thanks for reading and thank you so much for your support!
