Charles' hat looks like it has had a hard life. Was it used for a Mexican Hat Dance? Ask Charles his hat size. Maybe I could find him a nice Western Palm Hat that is water proof. A nice Atwood Palm would look good on Charles. They last for years with modest care. A classy hat for a classy guy.
