Greetings from a train stop in Tucson, AZ
I am now a samanera, and no longer Bhikkhu or Mahathera, just Pannobhasa
the picture was taken yesterday at Santa Monica Pier near LA
yesterday I did three things I hadn't done in 30 years: I walked into someone's house wearing shoes, I helped myself to food (not offered into my hand), and I bought something at a shop
I will arrive in New Orleans tomorrow night and spend two nights there before continuing on to South Carolina, where I will stop for good, ish'allah
may you all be well and happy

Upon getting settled do you have any plans in particular?
My plans for the first few weeks will be orienting and getting necessary "infrastructure" worked out like bank account, credit card, phone and internet, et. After that I seriously set out to make sure I can support myself, seeing what kind of livelihood is available, et.
What kind of work do you plan to take up?
Whatever is available, although teaching Dharma and writing would be ideal.
The worldly people and/or layity either go about like the feather in, "Forest Gump" and are blown about by currents almost oblivious... Some recognized the currents and see their place amoung them and how they might have some degree of agency amoung them... The Worldly Dhamma's of Kamma may strike them... Perhaps they see a kind of correspondence across various planes and see what seem to be Laws or o clockwork of forces... These lay types or worldly people get caught up in becoming... Like the Taoist they find beauty in the changing seasons and strive to be in harmony with Nature so to reap good fruits of good causes that they take agency with... These are the, "artists" or "alchemists"... Or perhaps the fools... As all subject to becoming or origination is also subject to decay and death... Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and repeat... History doesn't repeat but it sure does rhyme... May all of your efforts bring great Fruit. Onward friend!
Sending happy thoughts and wishing you all the best on this new journey of yours, which I will continue to follow and support.
Much love, Venerable Sir <3
