Israel, my Dad and I never talked much at all about religion and politics. His Mom was like the Saint of our family due (Catholic family) to the stories that she almost became a Nun and my Dad adored her. We never read the Bible at home or at school. Exposure to the Bible was limited to reading of a bit of scripture at a Catholic Mass. My Dad though told me that the trinity didn't make sense and that he never could reconcile it (perhaps he was sorting it out from perhaps reading the Bible or from discussions with his Mom?). Maybe I'm from a line of inate "thinkers" perhaps!
