*Yes, we have cover art! *

Blackout now has cover art, for the ebook version, with a paperback version in the works. We are one step closer to publishing! The cover art was produced by Twisted Synergy (https://www.deviantart.com/twistedsynergy), who very kindly did a couple of different tweaks and mockups. We decided on this version for the cover.

We all hear that we shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but everyone does. The fun fact of the matter is that if you don't have an interesting cover, no one will read the book.

Next steps: I have filed with the Government of Canada for a set of ISBNs - each version of the book will require its own separate ISBN. There will be, at minimum, an ebook and a paperback. I am considering a limited edition hardcover run, and if the book sells enough, I will be making an audiobook version. Unfortunately this will have to be narrated by a real human being, because this book contains specialized jargon, accented dialogue, and other things that don't robot well in text to speech. A hardcover run (signed, of course) and an audiobook version might end up being a stretch goal on SubscribeStar, down the line.

Once I have ISBNs (I'm looking into whether a Library of Congress number is something I can even get, as a Canadian), I'll be finishing up the copyright page and the rest of the front matter, and then the manuscript will be submitted to Amazon for ebook preparation. We are on track for March 31!
