This month’s subject: The Boondocks and Moral Hypocrisy.

The Boondocks is one of my all-time favorite animated shows. It has insanely hilarious moments and plenty of biting commentary on the black community and the world at large.

I would have to say, however, that it’s greatest brilliance comes from its unforgiving critique on moral hypocrisy. I truly believe that a show like this could not be made in this day and age because the powers that be would be called out too harshly, and now that they dominate the cultural institution, any threat to it, (even satire) would be seen as nothing short of blasphemy.
