Few people realize that the fascists were much more spiritual than the Marxists. The radical left was anti religion, but the radical right embraced it, even in its deepest forms.

Yes, I have just recently realized this myself. My perception of this label used to be of people preferring strong handed bully tactics or mob rule where the majority rules and they appoint some dictator in chief.

But I have since taken a deeper look into it and looked at it from perspectives like Evola's and found that while there certainly is a social element to it that it is also volitional. And, its adherents do believe in a sort of hierarchy of Nature and accept their place in it to maintain the social harmony. It is a sort of appeal to Nature as like tends to want to bond with like. I don't see anything wrong with this classic view either.
There are quite a few silly people nowadays who rant and rage against all government and all authority as evil and slavery. But the fanatical anarchists don't appreciate the fact that we humans are designed to fit into a well regulated and more or less hierarchical social structure, with alphas at the top.
