When the first volume of The Last Witch came out, a heated debate broke out among my friends and family about one very important question: what exactly did little Alice look like?
The “experts” were strongly divided, and in the end I was tasked with at least one attempt at sketching her. Let’s just say… it didn’t go perfectly, but it didn’t go terribly either. I showed them my version and carefully explained how I imagined her—only to be told that I was wrong. Well, so be it.
I ended up recycling the sketch and turning it into a binder cover where I keep my drafts and notes. It’s been serving me well ever since.
Now I’m curious: how do you imagine Alice?
