NEW H&K MP5 Out Today!

Morning Everyone!

I was honored to get an email from H&K a few weeks back asking if I'd like one of the first copies of the H&K SP5K-PDW for review. I was told that the press embargo was until today, August 5, at Noon EST (i.e., right now). I made sure I had a video ready to rock by this morning.
I think I do a decent job of explaining in this video why this gun in particular is such a big deal. Basically, every civilian MP5 has been a huge flop over the past 37 years except for the SP5 they introduced in December 2019. Now, there's perhaps an even better version of that gun in the SP5K-PDW. Think of this as the SP5K from 2016 except not super lame.

It's a short barrel model but unlike the SP5K it has a paddle mag release, and a threaded and tri-lugged barrel. Popping a brace or stock on there is easy, and it's made by the  D̶w̶a̶r̶v̶e̶s̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶E̶r̶e̶b̶o̶r̶  same factory that makes the military/LEO contract MP5s with the same stuff.

Basically, this is a sick ass MP5, and imo the best version of it for civilians to date. I am buying my review copy. As a word of advice, I honestly would consider picking up MP5K stocks, braces, and/or VFGs if you are thinking about getting one of these because they will probably dry up after the reviews drop on this thing. RTG Parts (no affiliation with TFB) has the OEM K-grips for $29 and the OEM Choate folders for $133 if you want to get your gear now.

Check the video and let me know what you guys think. Am I freaking out over an overpriced stamped sheet metal relic or am I rightfully pumped about this gun?
