A New Year, A New Post!

Clearly, I haven't made this platform a priority, and that's frustrating for me, but it's also the reality. I'm still here, still scratching away on commissions and projects, and creating inventory for the two galleries where I show my work: Auburn Old Town Gallery (Auburn CA) and High-Hand Gallery (Loomis CA). I demo scratchboard monthly at High-Hand (schedule here) and I'm gearing up for the North Auburn Artists studios tour in May.

A current project is this commission of Cali, a 7" x 5" scratchboard. Yes, I know her right eye is wonky, I'm working on that... That little one on the left is a 2" square drawing of Petunia the cat, who lives at High-Hand. Not a commission, it's a miniature that'll be for sale.

I'm also working on this collaboration with a friend who has a plasma cutter. She's making a steel frame for this Steampunk Sloth. Check out a video of the plasma cutter in action! The sloth is a 6" square scratchboard. (Ampersand Art Scratchbord)
