The Russian Bear, well you can talk about the Russian Bear for as long as the russian royalty was tied to the european royalty. After that, under Stalin, you can talk about the Russian Wolf; just like a wolf, Stalin knew how to get the most out of everything, including situations where Russia was outgunned, or outnumbered, or even both; and he knew how to rally other hungry wolves into a pack and take down adversaries bigger than himself.

Nowadays, under Putin, we are talking about the Russian Dog. A vile, mangy, malnourished, lonely beast, showing signs of rabies. A dog with no solutions, and showing no potential for coming up with any solutions in the future. A dog with no pack, for unlike Stalin, Putin failed at rallying other dogs to his cause. A dog living in a world of Tigers, like China, and Dragons, like USA. A dog stuck in ways long abandoned by those who compete for the World Crown. The Russian Dog is relegated to barking insanely at the back of the yard, while the high rollers discuss civilized at the front of the yard about how the World should look, and how people should live in it.

The Russian Dog scares only puppies nowadays, while it waits, scared, fearing its inevitable fate. A fate the Russian Dog has seen other dogs succumb to; a fate the Russian Bear and the Russian Wolf have bestowed on many dogs, in the past.

First the dog will be tied to a post; then, if it does not behave, the dog will have its canines filed down to an appropriate size and sharpness; after that, if it still continues to cause trouble, it will get a muzzle, maybe as a Christmas gift; and lastly, after all else has falied, the dog will be taken behind the shed, and one loud shot will be heard, followed by the silence everyone yearns for.
