tvOS Reviews

Back on the StoreKit reviews for a second, I just discovered that this isn’t available for tvOS which is pretty sad in my opinion because tvOS is such a great platform for people to just chill and consume content. It would be perfect for getting good reviews! But Firebase and all ad platforms aren’t available for tvOS either, it’s the bastard platform for some reason.

If you have ever submitted an app to the store for tvOS you’ve seen that it is an appendage to an iOS app. When you add a new version for iOS you have to pick between iOS and tvOS. So the reviews in tvOS are really for the iOS component. Which means that tvOS technically doesn’t even have it’s own app store. And it means that if you plan on making a tvOS only app you should probably strongly consider having an iOS version as well.
