Episode 167: Making a splash - Yolanda Rossi
Listen here

The answers to many of our tango questions are simple to understand...yet challenging to follow through on. Let's keep that in mind as we get into today's episode.

My guest is originally from Buenos Aires, but is now based in Los Angeles, CA. She is a former ballet and flamenco dancer, but lucky for us she stuck with tango because she ended up pioneering much of LA's tango scene.

In 1993 she produced and designed the live Las Vegas show, "Viva Tango," which involved 37 artists, musicians, dancers, and singers. She has also been involved with a number of other prominent tango shows, and has worked with dozens of internationally acclaimed figures in the world of tango.

As a promoter, she really helped spark tango's growth in southern California by bringing in a number of famous guest instructors, such as Carlos Gavito, Marcela Duran, Osvaldo Zotto, Natalia Hills, and many, many others!

On top of that, today's guest has been an instructor in Glendale, CA since 2002. She also established a major line of tango apparel, as well as her own line of tango shoes.

Let's meet Yolanda Rossi...
