January 9, 2021 Update: This week I officially started "Project Ghost-Eagle," the goal of which is to design a semi-automatic pistol chambered for .50 action express.  I am still in the very early stages of design, but I have had an idea for this design turning over in my head for a while now, so it is good to finally start putting it down on paper (or the digital equivalent).  I also spent some time this week scoping out the feasibility of hand loading .45 ACP shells with 125-grain bullets, either using a very short "button" bullet, or using a saboted .38 caliber projectile.  I'm not sure yet if either approach will work well enough to be useful for practical purposes, but I think both will probably work well enough to make an entertaining video about the experiment, so I hope to start filming that video next week.  This weekend, though, I plan to upload a video about the "universal R&D bullet mold" concept that I came up with a while ago.
