Dear Professor Hermida,
In re your concerns of Data Journalism, Misinformation and COVID-19, I propose that UBC alumni, including Justin Trudeau, Christopher Ingvaldson and Cameron Ortis, commission a documentary from the UBC School of Journalism to reverse engineer and track the algorithms and characters participating in the BBC’s Contagion! documentary and daily body-count reports.
Subject to continued Patreon support, I offer pro-bono “CAPTAIN* Hawkins™” creator services to premiere a UBC documentary before year end and help ground-truth a theory of Covid viral strikes by the Phantom Secure crime group through Maxar's online offices in Richmond BC.
A CAPTAIN*—Character And Parallel Tracking through Artificial Intelligence Narratives—viral vector analysis suggests that a small group of UBC alumni and Rhodes scholars (see cast of characters below) transformed the technologies and methods used in WWII Double Cross operations into parallel narrative attacks on—or by—the BBC through COVID-19.
Contagion! The BBC Four Pandemic: About the app BBC Pandemic could be key in preparing for the next pandemic outbreak. In order to better understand how an infectious disease like flu can spread, researchers need data about how we travel and interact. All data collected from the app will be sent to a research team from the University of Cambridge and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. The data collected between September and November 2017 was used to simulate the spread of a highly infectious flu across the UK and predict how many of us might die - the results are revealed in Contagion! The BBC Four Pandemic. The data collected between December 2017 and December 2018 will contribute to this new gold-standard set for use in future simulations and in wider Pandemic research. .. Why should I take part? There are flu outbreaks every year but in the last 100 years, there have been four pandemics of a particularly deadly flu, including the Spanish Influenza outbreak which hit in 1918, killing up to 100 million people worldwide. Nearly a century later, a catastrophic flu pandemic still tops the UK Government’s Risk Register of threats to this country. Key to the Government’s response plan are mathematical models which simulate how a highly contagious disease may spread. These models help to decide how best to direct NHS resources, like vaccines and protective clothing. But the models are only as good as the data that goes into them…. By identifying the human networks and behaviours that spread a deadly flu, BBC Pandemic will help to make these models more accurate and, in turn, help to stem the next pandemic. This project commissioned by the BBC and is being undertaken in collaboration with researchers at the University of Cambridge and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.”
