In the event anybody comes upon my humble Subscribestar page and finds themselves wondering why I have it listed as an '18+' channel, I'd like to take a moment to offer a proper explanation.

Subscribestar allows for the posting of text, photos, videos and audio files by content providers for their audience. As I have already made clear, I fully intend to utilize this platform predominantly to monetize my genre fiction works moving forward, since my primary publisher, Booksforabuck, has closed shop. Over the years, I have produced my works in several formats, including traditional print, digital print, audiobook (self-read and recorded), and audiobook-as-YouTube-video, as well as a handful of podcast episodes devoted to telling short works.

A great deal of my material, especially my Amelia City horror stories, involves a healthy amount of brutality and gore, which could be construed as 'Adult Only' by certain audiences or content platforms. My rambles about the publishing industry and the state of indie genre fiction's overall quality tend to become rife with profanities and insulting hyperbole for the purposes of demonstrating more clearly my points. Even my Tamalarian Tales high fantasy novels indulge in explicitly violent scenes, harsh language, and themes often not deemed 'appropriate to the general public'.

While I generally detest the oversensitivity of the modern audience, I understand and appreciate that I must make adjustments to allow for their saturation into the market of available readers/listeners. It is as a result of this understanding that I have opted to mark my channel here '18+', so that my potential readers and listeners will understand from the word 'Go' that they are not necessarily setting themselves up for a consistently pleasant or 'clean' fiction experience or look into the narrative arts/businesses.

Thank you for your time and understanding folks. Hang tight, and take the chance to subscribe now as a supporter for only $1/month, because starting with the next post, I will be presenting for your reading pleasure the next Tamalarian Tale of the Fourth Age- "Not So Epic"!
